re: lost luggage article in the ‘Guardian” :

You know WHAT?
      Travel like Kongi!
i.e. LIGHT!
with only a light trolley which you are allowde to take into the cabin

1.you lose no luggage and
2. and you are always FIRST out at any airport !!!
KONGi has been doing so – SUCCESSFULLY – for umpteen years.
his importance luggage is in … his head !!!

Reply from Akin:
I have always travelled like our dear Kongi in close to two decades. The first time I was persuaded
by my wife to take two huge bags from the US, I lost them for over four months.
They eventually found them in
Cologne about to be destroyed. I flew South African Airways but my bags got into Lufthansa, somehow.
The explanation was that some people in
Lagos, of all places felt my name, Babatunde Akingbade was Germanic. Maybe they were seeing double at the Lagos airport or something like, Babatunde Gerdgbade
Tunde

My reply to Akin:
Akin,
cannot imagine my towns-people of Cologne doing that! Please situate that hincident somewhere else !
